There are numerous types of easement programs, ranging from Federal WRP (Wetlands Reserve Program), to open space easements, to range land trust easements. The last US Farm bill contained $38 billion for easements nationwide, plus California just passed a large bond act that makes more money available to California farms & ranches using California state easement programs.
